The rules, in plain English

In force at launchApplies to every accountReports reviewed within 24 hours

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour on Stoxswipe. These guidelines form part of the Terms of Service you accept when you use the app. Break them and your content is removed and your account can be ejected, without warning and without a refund.

01

Where these apply

Stoxswipe has no public feed and no open comment section. The things one person can put in front of another are small and deliberate:

  • Your username, display name and profile photo, visible to people you are connected with and to anyone who searches your exact username to send a friend request. Your profile photo is stored at a public web address, so anyone who has that link can see it.
  • Direct messages, which only work between two people who have both accepted the friendship.
  • Group chats, which you join only by accepting an invite from a friend. Everyone in a group you joined counts as a friend under these guidelines and can message the group.

These guidelines cover all of it. They apply to every account, everywhere the app is available, and to anything you send through Stoxswipe.

02

What is not allowed

Zero tolerance

Do not send, post, or use as your name or photo:

  • Sexual content of any kind, and never anything involving a minor. Child sexual abuse material is reported to the authorities and the account is removed permanently.
  • Harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, or unwanted contact after someone has asked you to stop.
  • Hate aimed at people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or immigration status.
  • Violence: threats of it, glorification of it, or graphic imagery.
  • Content that encourages self-harm, suicide, or an eating disorder.
  • Illegal activity, including the sale of drugs, weapons, or stolen credentials.
  • Impersonation of another person, a company, a broker, or of Stoxswipe itself.
  • Spam, scams, phishing, or chain messages, including anything that asks for someone's password, brokerage login, two-factor code, or seed phrase.
  • Anyone else's private information, address, phone number, account numbers, documents, without their consent.
03

Money talk has its own line

Talking about companies is the point of the app. Two things are still out of bounds, because they cause real financial harm:

  • Pump-and-dump and coordinated ramping, organising people to buy or sell a security to move its price so you can trade against them.
  • Pretending to be a licensed adviser, promising returns, or selling signals, tips, or "guaranteed" trades.

Stoxswipe is not a broker-dealer and not an investment adviser, and nothing in the app is investment advice. What another user tells you is their opinion, not a recommendation, and never a reason to skip your own homework.

04

How we keep it safe

Four things, and we would rather describe them plainly than claim more than we do:

  • Strangers cannot reach you. A direct message is only possible after both people accept the friendship, and a group message only reaches people who accepted an invite to that group, so unsolicited content from outside your friends and the groups you chose to join is structurally impossible.
  • Reporting is everywhere a person can see another person's content: on a single message, in the conversation menu, on a profile, and on a search result before you are even connected.
  • Blocking is instant and mutual, and does not wait on us. It ends the friendship and hides the thread in both directions.
  • A person reads every report, within 24 hours, and can remove content and eject the account.
05

Reporting and blocking

Press and hold a message to report it, or use the ••• menu in a conversation, or the Report option on someone's profile. If you cannot use the app, email the username and what happened to imri@stoxswipe.app, you do not need an account to do that.

Reports are private. The person you report is never told, and nothing in the app reveals to them that a report exists. Step-by-step instructions are on the Support page.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We cannot provide emergency help.

06

What happens after a report

We review it within 24 hours. Depending on what we find, we remove the content, end the connection, suspend the account, or remove the account permanently. Serious cases, anything involving a minor, credible threats of violence, or fraud, go straight to permanent removal, and to the authorities where the law requires it.

If you believe your account was removed by mistake, email us and a person will look at it again.
